April 2025

• • • The end of the third quarter is upon us, and you will see your child’s report card coming home on Tuesday, the 1st.

    • The second graders will begin their swim lessons on Tuesday, the 1st of this month. Swim days will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and there will be six swim sessions in total.

    • The third graders will also begin their swim lessons this month and will be swimming on Tuesdays and Thursdays, too. They will begin on the 22nd. Please make sure to check with your child’s teacher for details.

    • Important: Second and third graders who are involved in swim lessons need to have towels and extra underwear items for any emergency situations that might arise. 

    • We will have a third quarter awards assembly on Friday the 4th in the junior high gym. The TK-4th students will begin at 2:30, and the 5th-7th grades will begin at 2:45. Please make sure to attend.

    • Event: The Darby Public Library and Friends are hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on April 5th. The hunt will begin at 12:00 pm on the school’s elementary playground. Good luck to all the participants. 

    • We are lucky to have the Missoula Children’s Theatre coming to Darby School again. This year’s production will be The Pied Piper. They will be here the week of the 7-11. The main performance will be on Saturday the 12th. Students that are selected to be in the performance will have after school practice this week in preparation for the Saturday production. More information will be sent home after spring break.

    • Mrs. Gardner will be taking the third graders to the Sula Clubhouse to sing for the Woman’s Group on the 10th. 

    • Ms. Holmes will also be taking her third-graders on their annual field trip to the Big Hole Battlefield on the 17th.

    • The regular school board meeting is on the 14th at 6:00 pm in the high school library.

Auditions will be held during the school day on April 7th.  Selected students will participate in play practice after school the 8th-10th with the main performance on Saturday the 11th. Please look for more information to follow.
